Oren Tenning. His name alone turns me on and ever since Pick and Eva’s book I have been itching to read all about Ten & Caroline. Going in, I felt like I already knew a lot about Ten, we’d seen his slutty antics, heard his funny quips and discovered how sweet and caring he could be, but this story, holy shit on a stick. We learn so much more!
When he first set eyes on Caroline, his best friend Noel’s sister, he knew he was a goner from that very moment, but with his hugely bad reputation of sleeping around, he was never going to get the big brother approval, and Noel was often very vocal about warning him off.
In Zwinn’s (Quinn & Zoey) book, With Every Heartbeat, we saw Caroline attempt to make her moves on Ten but he always pushed her away. Ten would never betray his friend, he is an extremely loyal friend and no matter how much he wants Caroline, he just can’t be that man.
Caroline however, decides to take matters into her own hands and she is determined to get her man, she doesn’t care if her brother doesn’t approve, she wants Oren and she will do anything in her power to make that happen.
Ten struggles with the guilt but at the end of the day, Caroline is his kryptonite.
“Your brother is going to kill us both for this, so you better make it worth our while. You better sit up there and fuck me like you meant to the first night you came into this room, wearing no panties.”
There was so much to this story, and by the end of it I felt like I had gone on a massive journey with them it was just so fabulous. I love my strong female characters and Caroline was no exception, she was as funny and as dirty mouthed as Ten was, and they were so perfect for each other it was unreal. There was plenty of sexy times too, and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other, nor could they be serious for more than 5 seconds!
Are you insane?
You can’t let a guy into pussy heaven and then tell him not to move.”…
This book touched my heart, I cried, laughed and swooned, and for me that means it’s a winner. I LOVED IT! This whole series is full of such well thought out characters, I am so pleased that there are another few books lined up.
This is told in dual POV and is part of a series, not recommended to be read as a standalone.
