Review

Oooh I love a Pam Godwin book, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Dark and sexy is her game, and Incentive was both of those things, but also full of emotion, and a story that pulled at my heartstrings.

Set in the world created by author Aleatha Romig in her Infidelity series, this was such a creative and clever idea – it is part of Amazon Worlds, where authors are invited to write their own stories, set in other authors worlds. I have not read Romig’s books, but after reading this, I am surely tempted.

Decker Gabrielli is down on his luck, working in a Manhattan bar, behind on rent, and wondering how he got to this place. He is accosted one night after a shift by a customer offering him the chance to earn a lot of money in exchange for a rather strange request.

Our heroine Laynee Somerset, is an extremely famous Hollywood actress who seeks companionship via a very discreet escort agency called Infidelity, who pair her up with her “perfect match”, however, when she meets the man she has been matched up with to spend the next 12 months, she is shocked to find out that he is the complete opposite of her usual preference of a submissive man.

Incentive was not a long and meaty story, but it packed a punch and it was a unique story full of interesting characters and extremely erotic scenes.

Highly recommend!

Incentive is a standalone erotic romance, told from dual POV.
