3.5 ‘I Miss Your Face’ Stars
This is my first book by Jessica Daniels and I really enjoyed it.
Reese is a hot shot sexy accountant, who doesn’t do relationships, he has casual flings and that’s where it ends.
Dylan has her own bakery making anything from tarts to wedding cakes. She’s not interested in finding a man, the only ones she needs are her dad and gay best friend Joey.
Dylan and Reese meet when Dylan is trying to go unnoticed when finding her seat at her Ex boyfriends wedding after running late to deliver the wedding cake. But on route she trips over and lands straight in the lap of a hottie in a suit. This then leads to slutty wedding sex. And so the casual fling begins.
Dylan is determined to keep this casual and does everything in her power not to fall in love with Reese, which proves impossible.
I really loved the banter between these two and you could see them falling for each other but trying so hard to keep it casual. I liked how playful and witty Dylan was and how alpha male and dirty talking Reese was. There was a perfect balance of romance, story and drama which is hard to find in book when you read as much as I do. So all in all this is a sweet, sexy, fun read and I’m looking forward to jumping into book 2.
4 Dirty Talking Stars
Book 2 starts off 6 months on, and Reece and Dylan are on the countdown to their wedding.
We’re thrown straight into the wedding planning, dealing with the mothers, which napkins are best, fitting into the dress, the crazy bachelor parties and of course the cake preparations.
I didn’t think going into this that I could like Reece anymore than I already did, but in the final instalment of this series, we see the softer side of this alpha male and in conjunction with his dirty mouth I think I fell a little bit n love. Reece and Dylan are a perfect book couple, while being sweet and in love, they have an edgy side to them too, which only added to the HOT sex scenes.
I liked the comedy, and the way the story felt like everyone was involved. I loved the dialog between Joey and Brooke, the love between Juls and Ian and getting to hear more from Billy.
J Daniels will defiantly be an author that will now go on my to be read list and I’m looking forward to diving into her Alabama Summer Series.
